Who Run The World…? Girls.

During October’s Fall Toy Preview trade show, the Women in Toys held an Empowerment Day event. I had the pleasure of accompanying Mobo Cruiser’s president Melody Hsieh-Hornstra to this motivating and productive gathering. The Women in Toys are a global community of female leaders, executives and entrepreneurs who make things happen in toys, licensing and entertainment. This community of women provides the tools, knowledge and resources to help other women succeed in a personal and professional aspect. Empowerment Day is one of the methods they use to network, learn and help advance the careers of their members.

A wide variety of speakers and experts in the business industry were invited to Empowerment Day to provide female entrepreneurs with very useful education and guidance. Norma Rosenhain, chief executive officer at Creata Global was one of the speakers that day who briefed her story about how she began her business career and shared a few tips of advice about success. She emphasized, “The key to success is networking; get seen, get known, attend meetings, and use events for effective networking.” Other experts shared invaluable information that served of great use to the women who attended this occasion.  I’m personally not an entrepreneur; nonetheless, it was wonderful to be amongst a strong foundation of brilliant women who believe in using their capabilities to encourage and facilitate the path to success for other women in the business industry.
