An interesting new study has shown that bicycle use in urban areas is on the decline. The study was done in Columbia, Missouri but it seems that the same is true for other areas. The city of Columbia has made improvements to make their streets more bike-friendly, but that have seen bicycle traffic drop by 42%. This observation was conducted during commute times however, many suggest they look at bicycle traffic during the weekends when more people are riding their bikes. Many cities across the United States have made their city streets more bicycle friendly with improved bike lanes and paths in an attempt to make it easier for cars and bicycles to share the road.
