A Healthy Diet

With the passing of the holidays, it sounds like a good idea to start “detoxifying” your system.  You may also come across some diet book or an Instagram influencer promoting a quick fix “detox” that will shed the holiday weight in no time! Before considering this route, you might want to keep this in mind:

  1. A healthy body already has an amazing detoxification system in your liver, kidneys, and colon.
  2. Drinking green juices everyday may help you lose weight temporarily, but it will not deliver the protein you need to build or maintain muscle.
  3. Detoxing diets encourages a poor view of good nutrition.

 

If you want to jump back on the wagon and start eating healthy, the best option is to start eating healthy with moderate exercise.  I’ve listed some links that can help guide you on forming a proper diet.
