Holidays are quickly approaching, and you know what that means… presents!
Here are some gift-wrapping ideas to make your present outshine others under the tree:
i. Instead of using ribbons, try using yarn or twine and wrap multiple times to add more volume.
ii. Add embellishments – can be small little shapes, pine cones, cutout letter for the recipient’s name, a little something to add a little more holiday spirit.
iii. This also falls under embellishments, but I thought I’d give this an extra shout out: feathers! How cute yet elegant are feathers! Below is also a tutorial on how to make them out of paper and gorgeous gold-tipped feather examples from Lia Griffith (click here!).
iv. Decorate your gift with DIY pom pom. Beautiful example at White House Crafts. Here is a tutorial on how make them out of yarn:
v. Do you like to doodle? Why not doodle your own wrapping paper? It can be lines of written words or simple line drawings repeated on paper and then voila – custom one-of-a-kind wrapping paper.
