Planning for Your New Year’s Resolutions

Hi!  Welcome to 2018!  We wish you a very happy new year!

As we start a new year, many of us start our New Year’s resolutions and make a list of things to start the New Year with a new goals.  It is a great time to reflect on the past year and look forward to what’s to come in the next 365 days.

For those whose resolutions work out great the first 3 days and then forgotten the rest of the year (like me), I’ve created a simple worksheet that will hopefully help you reach your goals.

The main idea is this:  write down your goals for this year, and assign each goal to a month.  Strive to master one goal each month, whether it’s going to the gym or creating a healthier lifestyle, making sure that each monthly goal is specific (e.g. “Ride my Mobo for 30 minutes every other day” or “Walk for 20 minutes after dinner”).  For goals that take longer than a month, such as paying off a credit card, use the assigned month to plan how to tackle the task, such as calculating how much monthly payments need to be made, and start the plan in the assigned month.
